The coldest village in the world os Oimiakon. This village of 800 inhabitants is situated in Siberia, Russia, between two mountain chains which store retain cold air. The lowest temperature is -46°C in January, and can descend to -68°C.


In such an environment, the constraints are numerous constraints. The fuel freezes quickly, batteries empty more quickly, metal sticks to skin, etc. The residents eat very few fruit and vegetables, but much reigndeer meat. They cover themselves in reigndeer fur which is very efficient for preserving heat.

The East Asian city state of Singapore, is known for its huge economic success, but less so for its stict laws. Here, the sale of chewing gum is prohibited except for medical purposes, the possession of a satellite dish is illegal, as is going on strike.

It is one of the most stable countries in the world, with a very low crime rate. There is the threat of the death penalty, and according to Amnesty International, it's probably the country with the highest rate of executions per inhabitant in the world.
